Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Last week the NSW Catholic Schools Principals conference attendees celebrated Mass at the cathedral in Wollongong. Bishop Brian celebrated the Mass and was joined by Fr James Arblaster. Bishop Brian spoke of the need for leaders of our catholic school to be Bearers of Christ's Love in words and action, that is to 'bring the light of Christ to all'.
This should permeate every aspect of the catholic school and this experience should be felt and lived by everyone who sets foot on our school grounds. This call, to be Bearers of Christ's love, is one we can all share within our school community. With Jesus as our model we strive to be beacons of hope within our school, particularly towards those who feel the most helpless.
O God, in whose image we all are made,

Staff Spirituality Day
As part of our journey as a staff, we have engaged in a number of days focussing on “Educating with a Mission Lens.” Our final day of this program will take place next Friday. (Therefore it is a pupil free day for students.) I look forward to sharing with you, our learnings from the day and the future directions that STA will be taking in terms of “Educating with a Mission Lens.”
Children’s Liturgy
All children are welcome to join us for Children’s Liturgy at 9:30 am Mass on a Sunday morning. It is lovely to see our children come together to talk about the Gospel and engage in an activity together.
Confirmation
Confirmation will be celebrated in our church next Saturday 27th May at 11am. The candidates have made posters outlining the saint they have chosen. You will see these displayed in our church. Please keep these children in your prayers, as they prepare for this special sacrament. A reminder to our Liturgy Group students who are able to join us for Mass, to be there at 10:30. These children may be collected after the ceremony at approximately 12 noon.
Stage 2 Mass
A reminder that our Stage 2 Mass will be held on Sunday 4th June at 5pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
Corpus Christi
Our combined Mass with St Michael’s to celebrate our Parish Feast for Corpus Christi will be held on Thursday 8th June in our Church at 9:30 am. All welcome!

The children all represented St Thomas Aquinas with great pride and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the carnival. Well done to all competitors.

These groups provide the students with the opportunity to work in small workshops with a teacher, solve 'Challenging Maths Tasks' and reinforce their understanding of mathematical concepts through games and everyday number fact development. The students are demonstrating a positive attitude and love for Mathematics during these sessions.
