PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Our country has truly shown its contrast over the last few weeks, with bushfires and heat waves, and, in the same state, on the same day, snow. Please keep all of those people that have been affected by the fires in your prayers, especially the families who have lost loved ones.

We pray for those whose lives and livelihoods have been affected by fire.

Lord hear us.

We pray for those who have lost homes and businesses, for those who were scared and have been traumatised by their experience. Comfort and heal them in body, mind and spirit and give them hope of restoration.

Lord hear us.

We give thanks for the selfless service of all emergency service personnel.  Grant them protection in danger and strengthen them physically and psychologically for the ongoing demands put upon them.

Lord Hear us.

We give thanks for all who are caring for the victims of the disasters, for the emergency response teams, service providers, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul Society, local churches and community groups, chaplains, and all those assisting at all levels of government, local, state and federal. Guide them in their labour and give wisdom so that those who have suffered loss may get the care and support they need.

Thank you for your support on Tuesday when the school was closed, we all need to know our loved ones are safe and not caught out by road closures whilst travelling.

SCHOOL AND PARISH MASS

Thank you to all those who attended our Stage 1 and Parish Mass on Sunday. It was good to see so many families in attendance. A big thank you to our Liturgy Group, Mrs Hamilton, Mrs Johnson and Mr Blake for providing such lovely music.

DIOCESAN PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION FINALS

Next Wednesday we will be hosting all the finalists in the Diocesan Public Speaking Competition. We welcome all of those students, their families and member of the Catholic Education Office, including Mr Peter Turner the Director. Thank you to Mrs Robinson for organising and compering this event.

Have a lovely fortnight.
