Ash Wednesday Liturgy

Last Week we commenced Lent with an Ash Wednesday Liturgy in the FGC, led by Father Sean. The children participated with reverence and received the ashes on their foreheads to remind them to make good choices in their words and actions during this important season in the Church.

Caritas mufti Day

As part of our social outreach at STA, the Social Justice Committee organised a mufti day last Friday to raise money for Project Compassion for Caritas. As part of the Year 6 prayer, last week at assembly, the students listened to stories from Caritas and learnt about ways their donations can help others. We raised approximately $410 to donate to Caritas! 

Thank you also to Jade from the canteen who generously donated $150 from the sale of pancakes.

Opening School Mass

Yesterday we held our Opening School Mass in the Church. Our Liturgy Group led us in song and Father Sean blessed our Year 6 Leader badges and presented our senior students to the community. It was a lovely celebration to officially commemorate our school year.
