WINGECARRIBEE RECONCILIATION GROUP

Since 2002, the Koori Flagraising ceremony has been held in April each year at nin garang thurree currobung (The Place Between the Rocks) near Cherry Tree rest area in Gibbergunyah Reserve, to commemorate that this land is and forever will be the spiritual home of the traditional owners, the Gundungurra & D’harawal peoples. This year will be the 17th occasion on which this ceremony has taken place and we look forward to a special event this year. Last year over 100 people participated in a wonderful event which was described by some as the "best ever"!

There will be an acknowledgement of county, smoking ceremony and didgeridoo. Ecopella, Southern Highlands own a cappella singing group will entertain us with song.
